The Energy Law section of Holland Van Gijzen deals with the legal aspects of electricity, gas, heat and water, as well as oil and gas extraction. The Energy Law section can help you to set up your energy company and to introduce new energy products on the market, advising both energy companies and purchasers. If necessary, we initiate proceedings at, amongst others, the Office of Energy Regulation (Energiekamer), the Netherlands Competition Authority (NMa) and the Trade and Industry Appeals Tribunal (College van Beroep voor het bedrijfsleven) in order to safeguard your interests.
Our advice is not just limited to the founding or restructuring of electricity and gas companies; we also take care of the proceedings at the Office of Energy Regulation and the Ministry of Economic Affairs. The requirements concerning designation, permits and exemptions with which the energy company must comply will be checked closely. This involves other legal fields such as competition law, trademark law, patent law and employment law.
