Employers’ organizations
In the field of pensions several interest groups play a part, amongst which the employers’ organizations. It is of great importance that these organizations are fully aware of present and future developments in order to be able to determine a balanced pension policy.
Collective bargaining agreements often record the minimum conditions with which the pension scheme of its members must comply. In the case of sectoral pension funds, employers’ organizations often occupy a seat on the board of management of the pension fund (employers’ seats).
Our experience with advice on pension strategy and policy is very useful for this target group in particular. It is important that employers’ organizations, before starting negotiations with employees’ organizations, have insight in matters such as their starting position, the scope offered by the statutory framework and the financial consequences of certain choices. All this can be of paramount interest in the negotiations and the steps leading up to the desired final result.
